A story of a journey

Hello friends,

I want to share my journey of the last few months with you all…and how I launched a business in the middle of this pandemic. Let me start at the beginning.

For the last 25 years I have been active in the Tourism industry.

When the pandemic outbreak began, I found myself and my colleagues in similar positions. Not one tour scheduled as far as my calendar went! From 60 to 0 in a blink. A devastating loss of business, not just for me, but for my entire industry.

Instead of breaking me, it just enhanced the will to never stop, and reinvent myself.

April came, and Maya (my wife, and partner in life and business) and myself decided to plunge in and ask how we could  make something out of what we had. As discussions with friends and family in Israel and abroad continued, it made me realize that if you’re not part of the tourism industry, the actual financial crises was less apparent.

Maya said we should continue enhancing our relationships with former friends and family, since 25 years of connecting with people and making their Israel dreams come true is a long time, and the relationships runs very deep. Our clients have always been more than that – they’re our friends and family.

A theme emerged out of our many conversations. The people we spoke to, who love traveling to Israel, and feel a deep connection to the country and cultures, wanted to find ways to keep engaging with this beautiful place, even if they couldn’t travel here.

That’s when The Sinai Connection came to life.

Connecting through investment – emotional or financial; small items, like planting a tree in the country or getting a piece of jewelry or art, or more substantial business acquisitions like investing in an Israeli startup company or purchasing your home away from home here in Israel. We also know many who wanted to find the right organization to donate money in order to help change the world through “Tsedaka” (the Hebrew word for charity), but weren’t sure where to turn.

For that, we will be investing all of our time and ability to connect you with the best of all these areas! We used our large personal and business network to start building partnerships with artisans, design houses, luxury goods dealers, real estate brokers, non-profit organisations, and more. We will introduce you to the most amazing, latest and most interesting things happening in Israel!
